A big part of the NIC’s work revolves around project delivery. We use our collaborative approach to deliver programmes across the North of England. This page takes you through our current projects.
We are currently delivering two projects across in North East. These projects are funded by the European Social Fund and The National Lottery Community Fund as part of the Building Better Opportunities initiative.
The NIC is delivering this three-year project supporting over 2,500 people in the Tees Valley area to overcome the complex reasons preventing them from finding work. These barriers could include physical or mental ill-health, a lack of self-confidence, a gap in skills, a conviction, or an addiction.
The NIC is programme-managing the delivery of this three-year project supporting over 1,600 people in Tyne and Wear who are aged 25+ and out of work due to complex health issues and other barriers, such as long-term unemployment, debt, low skills, or housing issues.
